Hi, I'm Keitaroh Kobayashi. Currently a college student, I independently develop for the iOS / Mac platform. My interests are listening to music (don't ask me what kind – I listen to a lot of different types of music), programming, and staying up to date on current events. My first exposure to programming languages was when I was 11 years old, but I didn't start understanding the concepts fully until I was around 15. Since then, I have been programming as one of my hobbies.

For your reference, I've prepared a list of some of my current projects:

  • GFolio Google Finance Client

an ios app that connects to your google finance portfolios

  • BusNavi

an iphone / ipod app designed to quickly see the next departures of busses

  • ICU OpenSource Project

a set of open-source tools to make the lives of international christian university students much easier

  • ICUBus

an app that uses current GPS information to determine the closest bus stop leading to icu and gives you the next couple departures – this is planned to be incorporated into the “ICU OpenSource Project”

  • mobile kanji

an iphone / ipod app designed to rapidly increase the speed of your kanji recognition

  • The "Black Box" Project

my foray into the metaprogramming world; a program that uses a semi-supervised self-learning neural network to write programs

I use Objective-C, C, PHP, Perl, and Python on a regular basis, and have over 5 years of experience in each language (except for Perl). My database of choice is MySQL, generally administered by phpMyAdmin.
